PART 1 GENERAL

Operation:
1.
Flushing shall be by means of a foot pedal operated flush
valve with necessary flush valve actuating linkage.
2.
Sanitizing shall be by means of live steam admitted
through hand operated steam valve.

Spray heads shall be mounted in the washer chamber and
positioned so that utensils are completely flushed and rinsed both inside
and outside by cold water delivered from the flushing assembly.
4.
A centrally located steam jet shall be positioned so that
after washing and rinsing, the entire chamber and contents may be
sanitized with a charge of live steam admitted through the steam valve.
5.
Hand Operated Steam Valve: Bronze, union bonnet, solid
bronze wedge, monel seat rings, 350 PSI steam rating.

Waste 3" flanged waste outlet to wall with cast iron trap with companion
flange located behind wall. Trap shall have pipe leg to floor for fixture support.

ACCESSORIES
A.
Bedpan Rack: Rack shall be constructed with a stainless steel or monel
metal frame with a removable stainless steel drain tray provided with a drainage
petcock. Rack shall be wall hung and shall be partitioned to hold five bedpans in
the vertical position for drainage. Rack shall be approximately 24" long x 11"
front to back.
B.
Supports: Rack shall be wall supported by means of through bolts
attached to an 1/8" steel back up plate installed behind the wall. Back up plate
shall be size as required so that all supporting through bolts may be attached to a
single plate.
C.
Urinal Rack: Rack shall be constructed of monel metal or stainless steel
and shall be mounted over the bedpan rack. Rack shall be provided with
provisions for holding five 24 ounce capacity urinals in the inverted position.
Rack shall be attached to the wall, as prescribed for bedpan racks.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01
INSTALLATION
A.
Connect stop valve, and strainer to the hand operated steam valve. Leave
a union for connection by others.
