Preface

Taipei was elected as the capital of design for 2016, which indicated the profound artistic energy of
Taipei. Years of endeavors on art has finally accumulated this achievement. In aspect of visual arts, private
galleries and public museum play instrumental roles in bringing about the art-loving phenomenon in Taipei.
In order to offer our guests a profound experience on visual arts, we have arranged three kinds of tours
upon your choice. The first is private galleries which help promote artworks to the market and the second is
public museum which communicate ideas to the general public. The third one is a combination of the two
arenas. Each trip will end up in a cozy coffee shop or tea house so that our guests can share their findings
and inspiration during the trip. The best part of all is to summarize the findings and share them to our blogs
and social platform so that others who might not be able to join us can also be inspired by the art energy in

Normally private gallery will plan in 2~3 months advance and then exhibit featured artists work for
around 1 month. Depending on the schedule and our guests preference, we will arrange 3 galleries and 1
afternoon tea for a relaxing and meaningful afternoon. We will ensure the art tour is abundant in

In comparison, public museum will plan over 3 months in advance and then exhibit a certain theme for
example Taipei biennale around 1 to2 months. Public museum has amazing collections owning to
government funding and also their unique function in education. From one point of view, museum can
display world famous works on a large scale; and from another point of view, viewers are kept from a
distance from the artworks because of the restriction imposed in the process. Depending on our guests
preference, we will offer one museum visit with featured theme such as Milo and also one break time in a
coffee shop or tea house for sharing the findings during the visit in the museum.
