His goal is to finalize the document for a print job.
For this he needs print information from end user actor.
He has the responsibility and skills for content and page programming.

Print operator

Actor

Print operator is a person role.

He is responsible to assign print jobs to printers.
He also takes care that printers are in operational state (paper supply etc).
He is responsible also for the print job finishing.

Pre-press operator manages print jobs and their status.

Pre-press operator changes document to be prepared for printing.

Print operator assigns a prepared job to a specific printer.

End user is a person role.
His goal is to get the output of a print job.
He indicates the document that will be printed and the printing settings for them.

PrintJob creation
The end user submits a job to the print server

PrintJob acceptance
End user confirms printing of previous submitted job.

Order overview
End user does a preview of PDF document as it will be printed.

The goal of previewing is to assure that actual view on the screen or the printout made
from this PDF view is the correct one.

Preferences setup
Expert user (only) defines defaults for print job options.

PDF job submit

End user creates and submits a job with a PDF document.

WebDriver job submit

End user creates and submits a PDF job via web driver.
This allows accelerating users actions to create the print job.

Native job submit

End user creates and submits a job with a document other than PDF or PS.

MultiDoc job submit

End user creates a print job and submits more documents at once.
End user combines one or more digital documents, analog documents or other digital
documents / scan jobs in the same print job.

Display orders
End user view the list of all current submitted print jobs (regardless of processing status).

Edit order
End user selects one of current submitted print jobs.
View is possible for any job received by operator.
Edit is possible only for jobs not yet accepted by operator.

Confirm cost estimation

End user accepts the print job estimated cost and confirms the final print.

Confirm MultiDoc job

After conversion and merge operations are done by operator, the end user previews the
resulting document and confirms the final print.
