Prelude
*Opening Songs
*Opening Prayer
Myron Ripley
God, we trust in your power, even as it is often found in weakness; in your
wisdom, even as it is expressed in seeming foolishness; in your wholeness,
even as it comes to us amid brokenness. Touch us this day, O Lord, sinners
that we are, that we might become your saints, your body, your children,
your church. In Jesus name. Amen.

Welcome
*Opening Hymn 89
*Call to Worship
Kay Ansell
Leader: How does God Speak?
People: Not with a voice like mere mortals, yet God speaks in many ways:
Leader: In the bountiful creation around us: The midnight skies tell of Gods
glory, the midday sun displays holy handiwork. Each new day speaks
Gods language, and night after night knows more than it can tell.
People: Yet it is the cross of Jesus where God speaks most profoundly:
Leader: The talk of the cross sounds absurd to those who think they are
sophisticated, but for us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
People: Thanks be to God.
