Good Evening everyone, we are SS Industries: well be talking about
our tender proposal for the WRTCA feasibility study o Go through names Ill talk a little bit about our company and an introduction to the problem, Dylan and Zach will go through potential solutions, Viktor will discuss safety and environmental considerations, and well finish off with Dylan explaining our multi-criteria analysis tools and finance We have experience working through both greenfield and brownfield environments o An example is a feasibility study we completed on building a line between the south-eastern and southern corridors of OConnor: as we can see on the diagram this cuts through denser urban areas along freight rail and then a new track through greenfield to the final destination, extending 70km o Needed to take into account all manner of environmental concerns from drainage, flora and fauna also the investigation involved extensive discussion with both private and government stakeholders This is the team structure that we will elect to go with in the proposed feasibility study: 3 engineering groups on the technical side, each with a lead engineer, and a project & design group where we have our project manager, draftsperson and a safety and environment manager The 4 teams will work very closely together to reach timely and prudent decisions with expert input from personnel with extensive rail operations experience As a brief overview of the problem: the flyer in its current state takes 150 minutes (2.5 hours) to reach its destination in Geographe and we need to cut this down to 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes), with the restriction that the track within 30km of OConnor is shared with the slower passenger rail services But: we have 40m of corridor to work with in most areas for potential development
