Introduction

English should be mastered by the students from Junior High school to University
level, but many of them get difficulties when they try to construct main idea in brain become
a good written. Writing require some skills to understand because the learner have influenced
related between one sentence with other sentence to be a good written. So the reader will read
the main idea correctly. In activitis writing students can express the opinion, ideas, fact and
feeling through written. Structure and grammar is one of the basic components of writing
which must be learnt by students. It is very useful and important as Raja T. Nasr (1988:52).
A writing process is done through some stages. On each stage, students engage in a
certain activity to construct their writing. Furthermore, Richard and Renandya (2002: 303)
state that the process of writing consists of planning, drafting, revising and editing. On the
planning stage, the students are encouraged to write. The drafting stage is focusing on the
fluency of writing and is not pre occupied with grammatical accuracy or the neatness of the
draft. Next, on the revising stage, the students re-write their text on the basis of feedback
given in a responding stage. The students, on the editing stage, are engaged in tidying up their
texts as they prepare the final draft for evaluation by the teachers.
One genre of the writing is Descriptive Text. According to Gerot and Wignel (1994:
208) a descriptive text is a text which has social function to describe a particular person,
place or thing. The generic structure of descriptive text is orientation and re orientation. In
descriptive learning process. The main ideas and the goals should clearly. The sentence must
describe clearly and use a good word to arrange the sentences.
The grammatical rules still become the difficult problem for the students or learners in
learning English, especially in writing skill. The students feel confuse how construct good
sentence, the choose word and the tense to used in sentence when the students want to start to
write sentences or paragraph in English language. Actually students have some main ideas
but in practically they have difficulties to arrange the sentences.
When the students find the difficulties in writing. The learner usually makes error,
because error is natural and will occur frequently. (James, 1998:1) says that Error analysis is
the process to determining the incidence, nature causes and consequences of unsuccessful
language. This statement means that when the students get the error in write descriptive
paragraph is natural. Error in construct the sentence or grammatical sentence. The students

need evaluate from teacher to find the error. Because writing skills is arrange some sentences
tobe a good written and it can read by the reader correctly.
Errors can be classified into five types: omission, addition, misformation, and
misordering (James 1998: 106-112). Omission is characterized by the absence of an item that
must appear in a well-formed utterance. Addition is characterized by the presence of an item,
which should otherwise not appear in a well-formed utterance. Misformation is characterized
by the use of the wrong form of a structure or morpheme. Misordering is characterized by
incorrect placement of a morpheme or a group of morphemes in an utterance.
Without good sentence and grammatical, writing would be empty and meaningless. It
cannot understand by the reader. Many students have difficulties in wite the descriptive text
because lack of vocabulary, grammar and background knowledge. In fact, writing descptive
text is not easy skill, especially for First graduate students in Junior High School. The
students still find difficulties in writing English and they cant to write the sentences well.
And this phenomenon is not rare, because it is natural. And error is something natural that
will occur happen frequently. In this case and phenomenon writer wants to research entitled
