television presentations." Media Psychology 2.4 (2000): 331-355.
(2) The main purpose was to inform the reader that the use of color and motion on television can
Influence viewers emotions and feelings.(3) They studied 34 participants, each shown motion
pictures in black and white then in colors, to see if the participants emotions were influenced in
anyway.(4) The work is mainly speaking to the people who are making media, like, commercials
or people who are film producers.(5) This source is relevant to my senior project because it has
information of what color can offer for my project to make it better.(6) Something important to note
is that color affects the individuals emotions and feelings towards the motion picture.(7) a defect
about this article is that it is mainly focused towards motion pictures and I will have to find a way
to apply this to still pictures.

(2) The main purpose of this article is to inform the reader that color does have an influence on
emotions though culture also has an effect on the way we perceive color as well.(3) They studied
participants for this experiment on different people from different cultures and genders and found
that colors influence on emotions is subjective and that some colors can have both a positive and
negative influence on emotions. (4) The people they were talking to was very general. They didnt
have a specific audience they were speaking to. (5) This article is very relevant to my senior
project because i need to know what colors i will need to use for certain emotions to catch the
viewer into persuading them to feel how i was feeling when the art piece was created. (6) Special
notes to take about this article is that some colors can have both a positive and negative
connotation (i.e. red can be associated with both excitement and aggression). (7) This article
does not seem to have any biases or weaknesses. It seems pretty trustworthy.

(2) The main purpose of this research was to inform the reader that color can be seen as more
arousing or attractive than another color based on their wavelength. (3) They did studies on many
different colors and found that some colors have a difference sense to them. For example, one
color can have a boring, dull, lonely, and or sad feeling to it. (4) The article wasnt targeting any
specific audience. It was mostly only research and data. (5) This article is also very relevant for
my research because it will allow me to have ideas for what colors to choose if i want to add a
certain sense or feeling to my art piece alongside emotion. (6) Something special to note would
be
that colors with longer wavelengths will seem more arousing to the audience (i.e. blue and or
green). (7) This article is mostly experiments and data, there doesnt seem to be any biases or
defects.

(2) The main purpose of this article was to observe what childs and kids associated what colors
with what emotions between two groups and compared the two. (3) They gathered groups of

participants that were the ages of 12 and under along with adults and had them associate or
match what colors would best represent a certain emotion. (4) The research was mostly
associated with younger kids under the ages of 12. (5) This article informs me that not everyone
has the same thoughts on one color, meaning everyone has a different opinion on a certain color.
(6) Something to note on is that people think differently and not everyone will agree on one thing.
(7) There is a weakness with this article and that is; it isnt accurate on accounts on what colors
affect which emotions, or it doesnt directly associate one color to one emotion.

(2) The main purpose of this research was to found out which colors associate with a more
positive
connotation and which associate with a negative connotation. (3) The research consisted of 98
participants (44 men and 54 women) and were asked to present their personal thoughts/
emotional
response to said color. (4) The research was mostly data and wasnt directed towards a certain
audience. (5) This article is relevant for my own research because i will have inspiration on which
colors i want to use for a positive connotation and or negative connotation. (6) Something
interesting to not is that green had the most peaceful and relaxing feeling to it. (7) A problem i
found with their research was that they used more women than men and i feel this would result
in inaccurate or uneven data because the wiring in womens and mens brain is different.
