Use Bhrigus moving ascendant, nadi progression of Saturn and Jupiter, and

years of planets.
Years of planets as tabulated below show the bands of years after every 35
years. When progression of Saturn agrees with the year planet the event
would happen in those 2.5 years. Jupiter will determine the one year in
which it would happen and on this basis when the annual ascendant through
progression of the ascendant is determined and transit is considered the exact
time can be determined.

Bhrigus method means that the rising point in the ascendant moves 30O in

one year. It makes a circuit like Jupiter in 12 years.

The event specified by the relevant house has the contact with the concerned
karaka. The major-period, sub-period and inter-period planets would be
related to the concerned house.
Nadi progression of Saturn means it progresses 2.5 years per 30O from its
natal position. It makes a circuit in 30 years.
Nadi progression of Jupiter means it progresses one year per 30O from its
natal position. It makes a circuit in 12 years.
Once we have fixed the span of time through the years of planets method we
can reduce the span to 2.5 years through the progression of Saturn and by
using the Bhrigu method we can bring it down to one year. This can be
confirmed through nadi progression of Jupiter.
Saturn and Jupiter relate to relevant houses from the ascendant, Moon and
karaka; so does the planet which is operating at that time.
The operating planet is related to the period planets at that time.

2. In a chart ascendant changes the fastest followed by the Moon and finally
the different planets that act as karakas.
It should be seen if a planet is related to a house which is a stated number of
houses away from a karaka (Effects of the Ashtakavarga-Brihat Parashar
Hora Shastra). The house that is five houses away from Jupiter will give
results relating to children; when the house is nine houses away from the
Sun it will give results relating to the father; when the house is three houses
away from Mars it will give results relating to younger siblings; when the
house is four houses away from the Moon it will give results relating to
mother; when the house is seven houses away from Mercury it will give
results relating to business; when the house is five houses away from Venus
it will give results relating to romance; when the house is six houses away
from Saturn it will give results relating to illness; when the house is nine
houses away from Rahu it will give results relating to journey abroad; etc. A
planet related to the relevant house from a karaka is expected to give results
of that house but if it is not related to the same number of house from the
Moon and the ascendant it may not give the expected results.
Divisional charts Akshavedamsa (1/45) and Shashtiamsa (1/60) are related to
all areas of life and these finer divisions of the ascendant can be used in the
same manner as the birth chart. If the birth time is correct the major-period
planet should show the events from the above three anchors in these two
charts as well.
Normally if the planet is related to all the factors as given above it should
give the expected result in its major-period. If it is the sub-period planet then
it should also relate to the relevant house from the major-period planet.
The situation mentioned above would be the normal one. But suppose the
stated time of birth is not accurate. The ascendant changes every 2 hours or

so but if the time given is a marginal one when the ascendant is about to
change the house indicated from the ascendant may not be related to the
period planet.
Signs 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are of long ascension and the remaining are not so
long. This is true for the northern hemisphere. The situation reverses in the
southern hemisphere. The exact duration of each sign depends on the
latitude. In 24 hours all the twelve signs make a complete circuit so the
average duration per sign can be taken as 2 hours.
If there is inaccuracy in birth time that affects the sign in the ascendant we
can take the house from the Moon and karaka since it is highly unlikely that
the Moon and ascendant would change signs exactly at the same time.
The two divisional charts mentioned above demand a very high degree of
accuracy in the birth time. If we take average length of a sign in the
ascendant as 2 hours, in the Akshavedamsa ascendant this sign will stay for
2*60/45=2 min40sec. If the birth time is incorrect by more than this value
the ascendant in the Akshvedamsa chart will change. The sign in
Shashtiamsa chart remains for even shorter duration of 2 minutes.
Therefore the charts of twins will normally show differing Akshavedamsa
and Shashtiamsa charts. We can therefore easily predict correctly for the
twins.
If the twins are born within less than 2 minutes of each other we have to take
recourse to the Nadiamsa chart which is 150th division of a sign. The
ascendant in this divisional chart changes every 24 seconds or even less
(depending on the duration of the sign at given latitude).
Reverting to our theme of determining the planet that is likely to give the
result it should relate to the broader qualification of relating to the relevant
house from the karaka and to finer qualification of relating to the house from

the ascendant and from the Moon. If the birth time is doubtful we must
accept the testimony of the Moon. Therefore relationship suggested by the
Moon and karaka should suffice. This should be so for charts in which the
ascendant is on the verge of a change.
