Questions to follow
When I was investigating this topic I first looked through the resources on
one note. After this I started answering my sub questions by using reliable
sources such as online encyclopedias and sites such as BBC. After this I
chose 6 similarities and differences to research into more detail. I then
researched each similarity and differences are wrote them in bullet points
on my capture sheet. After this I sorted the information so that only the
relevant information was in each section. After this I researched a little bit
more to fill in the small gaps that I had. After this I had found al my
information and started writing the paragraphs.
My process to investigate the topic was effective because it ensured that
my information was organized and I researched everything that I needed
to. This process made writing my paragraphs easier because the
information for each paragraph was in the same spot.
Next time I would keep everything organized and into sections like I did
this time and I would make sure that all my information was relevant. I
would also make sure to write in bullet points when researching again
because it is easier to see and write into paragraphs.
Next time I would make sure that I had absolutely every piece of
information before writing the paragraphs, because when I found a small
gap I had to do extra research which took more time. I would also make
sure to put the websites that I used for the section under the sections so
when I am filling the gaps I could just click on the link instead of trying to
find the website again.
I am pretty happy with my work. I think that I covered all the topics, added
lots of detail, added lots of facts and used a wide range of vocabulary. I
also think it is good that I used some in text citations.
If I was to do this again I would research the topic in more or less the
same way. My method of researching makes it very easy to convert my
research into paragraphs.
Next time I would make to sure that my research was completed and very
detailed before I start writing my paragraphs because when I found gaps I
had to go and find more information to fill the gaps. This was a little bit
inconvenient and took more time.
This was an individual task and I enjoyed that. I prefer working individually
or with one other person maximum. It is easier to work individually
because it is easier to stick to time constraints and to edit the work. When
working independently I end up finishing most of the work a few days
before the due date and dont have too much work the night before, only
the works cited list, final editing and the evaluation. Partner work is not
that bad if you get to pick a partner that you work well with.
