Configure BIFHI
Use the following procedure to configure BIFHI.
1. Run BIFHI once without a config.json file in your BIFHI home directory, so that a default file is
generated.
2. Open the generated config.json file in a text editor and find the generated default user name and
password at the top of the file (login.defaultLogin.username and
login.defaultLogin.password).
3. Go to http://BifhiHost:BifhiPort, where BifhiHost is the IP address or name of the
machine on which BIFHI is installed, and BifhiPort is the port that you have installed BIFHI on
(for example, 8080).
4. Log in using the default user name and password from the configuration file.
The Settings page opens.
5. Fill in the details of your backend IDOLservers. Click Test Connection for each server to confirm
that a connection can be established from the BIFHI server.
6. Click Save Changes.
BIFHI is now ready for use.
Note: To get back to the Settings page in future, go to
http://BifhiHost:BifhiPort/private/#Find/settings (where BifhiHost is the IP address
or name of the machine on which BIFHI is installed, and BifhiPort is the port that you have
installed BIFHI on). This page is available to any user with the BifhiAdmin role in IDOL
Community.

Enable Mapping
Use the following procedure to enable mapping in BIFHI.
To enable mapping
1. Go to the Settings page.
2. In the Mapping section, specify the following settings:
l
Tile Server Url Template. The full Slippy Map Tilenames (XYZ) URL for requesting a tile from
an accessible tile server, with the x, y and z coordinates replaced with curly brace variables.
For example, https://maps.example.com/tiles/{z}/{x}/{y}.png.
Attribution. An optional string to display in the bottom right corner of the map (for example, a
copyright statement).
You can use any image file type that is supported by the browser.
There are many compatible tile servers available as a service over the internet, including Mapbox
(https://www.mapbox.com), MapQuest (http://www.mapquest.com/), and most OpenStreetMap
servers.
Note: Ensure that you check the terms of use before you use these services.
