Project regulation
Goal: promote IEVF and RBS students to engage in entrepreneurship.
Target audience: RTU IEVF and RBS students.
Time of the event: 20.10.2016. - 26.01.2017.
Benefits of participation: possibility to test the knowledge gained in RBS in real life. In case of
a successful cooperation, continue to work in the start-up, as well as gain valuable contacts
and develop professionally. It is possible to increase final grades in the courses through
engagement in the project.
Selection process:
1. Written recomendation from a lecturer (one lecturer cannot give more than 5
recomendations);
2. After acquiring recommendations, the candidate must fill the application form
available on the internet (till November 16, 23:59);
3. Candidates selected for the next round will be invited for an interview, which will be
held in the time period between November 3 and November 8.
Participants of the project can choose one of the following specializations 1:
1. Marketing and communications;
2. Sales;
3. Business and financial modeler;
4. Team development2.
Support: mentorship support from IEVF, as well as the ability to participate in the IEVF and
RTU IdeaLab workshops will be provided during the project.
Reports: after a successful participation in the project the expert will receive an evaluation
from the startup. He or she must also submit a self-evaluation of the activities done during
the project and will gain an affirmation of participation from the coordinators of the project.

Additional information about the project: the expert must meet the start-up at least once in a
two-week period as well as devote a minimum of one hour a week on the project. In total, the
expert must accumulate 40 hours of work on the project.

Description of specializations
Marketing and communications specialist:
1. Does market and potential buyer research. Recognizes competing products, their
target audience, and used sales strategies.
2. Realizes the chosen sales strategy. Actively tries to acquire new markets. Analyzes
the effective KPI's of the chosen sales strategy and adjusts it if necessary.
