Maintenance pompa BFWP

1. Coupling maintenance
A. Check whether the diaphragm of coupling is in good condition
B. Check the alignment of pump and motor before disassembling
and keep the original records
2. Bearing Maintenance
A. Check whether there is any crack,bodies,porosity or severve
wear on the tungalloy of bearing
B. Contacts of bearing pads should be homogeneos with at least
two contacts per square centimeter
3. Balance mechanisme maintenance
A. Thrusting end surfaces of balance drum and balance sleeve
should be smooth without trench.The diametric clearence of
balance drum at the small journal is 0,4 mm and that at the big
journal is 0,45 mm.In case thr trench is too deep,grind it while
ensure the axial and radial clearences are unchanged.Change
the parts if it couldnt be achieved.
4. Stator parts maintenance
A. Allowable misaligment of spigots of inlet section.middle section
and outlet section is 0,06 mm
B. Imbalance tolerance of each end surface of inlet section,middle
section and outlet section is 0,04 mm
C. Maximum clearence of spigot of stator parts is 0,08 mm or
treatment required.
D. Interfaces of each middle section should be smooth and clean
without any radial trench.Contact rate tested by color method
should no less than 80% periphery should be connected
continuously.
E. Allowable misaligment of spigots of internal and external circle of
impeller is 0,04 mm
F. Imbalance tolerance of impeller end surface is no more than
0,04 mm
G. Height of rivet nail should have 0,06 mm 0,08 mm compression
allowance
H. Single play should be no less than 6 mm
I. Allowable misaligment of spigots of first stage and second stage
sealling rings to their internal circle is 0,0025 mm,while runout
allowance of end surface to circle is 0,06 mm( refer tofigure 5)
Diametric clearence between first stage impeller sealing ring and
the shell body ring is 0,04 mm,While clearence between secont

stage impeller sealing ring and the sealing ring of middle section

is 0,4 mm
Allowable misaligment of spigots of guide blade sleeve external
circle to its internal circle is 0,0025 mm.Diametric clearence

guide blade sleeve and impeller hub is 0,4 mm


K. When O-rings are found aging during maintenance chenge them
5. Rotor Maintenance
A. When any of the following condition is found after
disassembly,consider to change the shaft
I.
There cracks on shaft surface,especially at the balance
disc,as the cracks may cause shaft fatique break under
II.

the action of alternating load


There are deep trenches on shaft surface brushed by high

speed water flow,especially key grooves.


B. Runout of shaft to two jounals should be less than 0,03 mm
C. Check the wear of impeller sealing ring.if wear depth is not large
the abraded position could be repaired on lathe while the
impeller inner bore is held by spesial mould.make the allowable
misaligment of impeller sealing ring to internal bore as 0.025
mm while balance tolerance of two end surface as 0,016 mm
sealing intervals after repair should be no more than 1.3 times of
the given clearence.
D. Static balnce of impeller
To ensure the stable operation of rotor,impellers balance is an
important step.Remaining imbalance weight allowance on the
maximum diameter of impeller is a 3-5 g.After removed the
imbalance weight the thickness of impeller cover should be not
less than 4 mm.The cut parts and disc should have smooth
transition.New installed feed pump neednt carry out static
balance calibration as the dynamic balance has already been
done by manufacture.
E. Rotor trial assembly
I.
Run out allowance of impeller sealing ring and guide blade
II.

sleeve to bearing is 0,005 mm


Run out allowance of balance drum and drum external

III.

circle bearing is 0,04 mm


Run out allowance of blocking sets sleeve and shaft sleeve

IV.

to bearing is 0,05 mm
Dynamic balance allowance of rotor approximately equals
to 22 u

Its not allowate to eliminate rotor run out by grinding kits


surface.its forbidden to add gaskets between kits, surface
to adjust center distance of impeller outlet.After the rotor is
in dynamic balance,no parts position or parts could be
replaced If replaced dynamic balance the must be carried
out again.
F. Shaft sealing mechanisme maintenance,Replace fillings at each
time maintenance

Sealing water pressure test above 0.8 mpa is carried out
II.

for first and cover bushings.


In case the abrasion depth of the external circle of shaft
sleeve is more than 0,3 mm and the surface is
rough,replace new shaft sleeve.
