FORM OF BID SECURITY

WHEREAS, SANGAM CONSTRUCTION (PVT) LTD (hereinafter called and referred to as the
Bidder) has submitted its Bid dated 25th SEPTEMBER 2016 for the Construction and remedying of
defects of Proposed Doctors Quarters (hereinafter called and referred to as the Bid).
KNOW ALL PEOPLE by these present that WE SANGAM CONSTRUCTION (PVT) LTD having our
registered office at 61/4,WEAVING CENTER ROAD, NINTAVUR, are bound unto
MPC/DPC/PPC/RPC (hereinafter called and referred to as the Employer) in the sum of Sri Lanka
Rupees 800,00.00 for which payments well and truly to be made to the said Employer, the Guarantor
binds itself, its successors and assignees by these present.
SEALED with the Common Seal of the said Guarantor this 800,000.00 LKR day of 26th OCTOBER
.
THE CONDITIONS of the this obligation are:
1. If the Bidder withdraws its Bid during the period of bid validity specified in the bidding
documents; or
2. If the Bidder refuses to accept the correction of errors in its Bid; or
3. If the Bidder, having been notified of the acceptance of its Bid by the Employer, during
the period of bid validity, fails or refuses to :
(a) execute the Form of Contract Agreement; or
(b) furnish the Performance Security, in accordance with the Instructions of Bidder.
We undertake to play the Employer up to the above amount upon receipt of its first written demand,
without the Employer having to substantiate its demand, provided that in its demand the Employer will
note that the amount claimed by it is due to it, owing to the occurrence of one or more of the above
conditions, specifying the occurred condition or conditions.
This Guarantee will remain in force up to and including twenty-eight (28) days after the period of bid
validity and any demand in respect thereof should received by us no later than the above date.

I/We, the undersigned, declared that:
1. I/We, the understand that, according to instructions to bidders (hereinafter the ITB), bids

must be supported by bid-securing declaration;

2. I/We* accept that we shall be suspended from being eligible for contract award in any

contract where bids have being invited by any of the procuring entity as defined in the
procurement guidelines published by national procurement agency of Sri Lanka, for the
period of time of three years starting on the latest date set for closing of bids of this bid, if
I/We:
(a) Withdraw our bid during the period of bid validity period specified; or
(b) Do not accept the correction of errors in accordance with the instruction to bidders of the
bidding document;or
(c) Having been notified of the acceptance of our bid by you, during the period of bid validity,
(i) fail or reuse to execute the contract form, if required, or (ii) fail to reuse to finish the
performance security, in accordance with the ITB.
3. I/We* understand this bid securing shall expire if we are not the successful bidder, upon the earlier
of (i) our receipt of a copy of your notification to the bidder that the bidder that the bidder was
unsuccessful; or (ii) twenty eight days after days after the expiration of our bid.
