Did you think you met them? How? Or Why not? What evidence could you produce to show
you met these goals? i.e. student surveys/peer assessment/filming self in action etc
I have worked with members of the English faculty to develop the year 10 and 11
curriculum in line with ACARA. While this was a beneficial experience, I feel that I still
need to work on this as I would not be confident developing units and assessments on
my own.
I have developed a number of units (see attached) but still need to focus on more
effective lesson planning. I need to focus on providing better structured and
sequenced lessons to maximise student learning.
Have you completed or begun you Grad Cert in RE? If no, explain why?
Yes. Completed 3 units.
Provide an example where you feel you contribute to the Work Health & Safety aspect of your
role:
I wear a hat and vest on yard duty
What are some further training you feel you need for 2017? Including both educational and
WHS.
Teaching strategies
What are the areas you think you still need to improve in with your overall teaching? (this
includes all areas of teaching i.e. yard duty, parent teacher interviews, assessment etc, not
just classroom practice)
I feel I rely on the same teaching strategies across most classes and think I could
expand my repertoire of strategies.
I also feel I need to become more confident in the use of ACARA for unit planning.
I can create a list of strategies and cross them off as I go, making sure I dont repeat
the same strategy with the same class.
I can plan units that have not already been completed and have them checked by
faculty coordinators. I can also be less afraid of asking for help.
I believe that classroom management is one of my strengths. I have not yet been in a
situation I havent known how to deal with or that I have struggled with.
I also feel that building positive relationships with students is also one of my strengths.
I enjoy getting to know my students and taking an interest in their interests.
