Relationship between Local & Trust Domain

A local domain is a part of a trust domain.

Trust domain

For data configuration:

The domain name or IP address segment

Local domain

used by P/I/S CSCF must be configured in

the local domain data table.
The domain name or IP address segment of UEs and MEs
(MRFC,MGCF) interworking with the P/I/S CSCF must

be configured in the trust domain data table.

Add Embedded DNS

The CSCF provides the functions of the DNS/ENUM
server after DNS/ENUM data is configured on the CSCF
board. The embedded DNS/ENUM server can be queried
only by the CSCF.

Add Embedded DNS:

ADD DNSSRV: DOMAINNAME="_sip._udp.upw.ims.bsnl.in",
TARGET= alttc-icscf01.ims.bsnl.in";
ADD DNSSRV: DOMAINNAME="_sip._udp.ims.bsnl.in",

ERE=(.*), REPL= "sip:+\\1@upw.ims.bsnl.in\;user=phone;

\\1 in

ERE=(.*) means any no. Starting from 91120 will be allowed.

In REPL, the first \ indicates the escape character. The following \1

indicates the contents of the sub-expression inside the first left
parentheses. i.e (.*)
e.g.
911202847000
will
be
replaced
as

Interworking with CS
The IMS network interworks with the CS domain through
the BGCF and the MGCF.
BGCF: selects the entry to the CS domain.
MGCF: All call control signaling messages from CS
subscribers are destined to the MGCF.
The MGCF is responsible for protocol translation between
the ISUP or BICC protocol and the SIP protocol, and
transfers the session to the IMS.
DNS/ENUM:
ENUM: Tel URI ----> SIP URI
DNS: SIP URI ----> IP address
