The team at Henry Schein Dental Austria organized the Practice Pink Day
to collect donations for a good cause.
November 10, 2016 - The team of Henry Schein Dental Austria organized a
Practice Pink Day to collect money for the Austrian Children's Cancer Aid (KKH)
through various team activities. On October 19, 2016 the team members were
wearing pink clothing at all five locations, offering pink treats and collecting
donations. All proceeds from these activities will be donated to Austrian childhood
cancer support in support of the fight against cancer.
The Austrian Children's Cancer Aid supports sick children and their families when
they become financially constrained by the child's illness. She also takes care of
child-friendly facilities at the oncological stations and supports numerous research
projects in the field of child and adolescent ecology. The association is divided into
six regional organizations across Austria and is financed mainly through donations.
As part of the Practice Pink program, Henry Schein customers were able to buy
their everyday products in pink, such as gloves, dental floss, and mouthwash,
during various sales initiatives. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these
pink products were also donated to the Austrian Children's Cancer Assistance to
support them in their fight against cancer.
"We are delighted to be able to implement the Global Practice Pink program in
Austria as well. With this program, we are not only looking to raise awareness
about the issue of cancer and supporting the fight against cancer, but above all to
make life easier for pediatric cancer patients and their parents," says Roman
Reichholf, CEO, Henry Schein Dental Austria and adds: "In Austria, more than 300
children and adolescents develop cancer every year. With the Practice Pink
program, we hope to put a smile on their face - in this difficult time for them and
their families. "
Practice Pink is part of Henry Schein Cares. Within the framework of this program,
Henry Schein supports global activities that enable better medical care for
disadvantaged population groups. Henry Schein Cares focuses on the development
of three areas: prevention and treatment, strengthening self-help, disaster
preparedness and emergency relief. Another important part of the work is the
provision of assistance to cancer patients and their families.
