Name: Valentina Godoy
PART A:
Students will listen to the audio for their flipped classroom. After learning about clouds, they will prove their knowledge of
clouds by recording their own podcast. They will do this by writing their own notes while watching the video about clouds on
brainpop.com. Afterward, they will each format their notes in paragraph form so that when they read their paragraph it will flow
when they create an audio of it. Afterward, with permission of their parents/guardians, they will publish on the classroom blog.

S4E3. Students will differentiate between the states of water and how they relate to the water cycle and weather.
c. Investigate how clouds are formed.

Brief Description of Learning Experience:
Students, at home, will listen to the audio which will have instructions of their flipped classroom assignment. They will
each view a video on brainpop.com about clouds. This will build knowledge about clouds so they can come prepared to
class as we continue the unit on weather. While watching the short movie, the student will be writing notes. After, they
will take a quiz as a review. This should all take 30-45 minutes.

When they come to class, I will give them time to format their notes to paragraph form. The sentences should flow since
that day they will record their voices in an audio file by reading their notes (in paragraph format). Then they will each
publish their file onto the class blog/website. This will give access to a large audience (other students, parents, families of
students.) The students will be assessed before publishing by playing the audios in class and checking if they have fulfilled
the requirements

Student Engagement/Higher-Order Thinking:
This will reach a LoTi 5 since the authentic learning will be driven by the students. They are creating their original products that
others will use not just in the classroom. This will be seen and heard beyond the classroom so parents, families of students will
have access to this.

Importance of technology:
Multimedia authoring tools is crucial to the project because it allows students to project their knowledge by the students
themselves creating a product. This project could be completed without the use of technology but then it will not allow the
students a more hands-on learning experience.
Inspiration (optional): If you used existing multimedia projects as a model for your project (whether in part or whole),
include the URL(s) so we can visit. Explain what concepts you borrowed from others.
I used the song Rise and Shine by Seastock. I found it in Jamendo.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy:

The only requirement I would need to complete this lesson would be getting permission from parents or guardians of the
students to publish their work on the classroom website or blog.
