SH-201 Bass Sounds Download:

-----------------------------This patch data consists of 32 patches featuring classic synth bass sounds.
You can load this data into the SH-201 by using the included "SH-201 Librarian"
software to transmit it from your computer via USB.
Loading SH-201 User Sounds.
-----------------------------Important Note: This procedure will erase the current User Bank of
patches in the SH-201. If you wish to backup your User patches before
loading this new User bank, see the instructions at the end of this
document, Backing Up Your Patches.
1. Connect the SH-201 to your Mac/PC with a USB cable.
2. Power up the SH-201.
3. On your Mac/PC launch the SH-201 Librarian software. The Main
Librarian window will open.
4. Go to SETUP and select Set Up MIDI Devices. Make sure that the MIDI
In and MIDI Out selections (in the first row of the window) are set to SH-201.
Click OK when finished.
5. Locate the file, SH-201 Bass JS.shl" on your computer. Double click to
open the file automatically or access the file from the File > Open menu. A
new window will open in the Librarian titled, SH-201 Bass JS, displaying the
patches.
6. For Windows Users: In the SH-201 Bass JS window, press Ctrl+A to
select (highlight) all patches. Next, press Ctrl+C to "Copy" all of the patches.
For Mac Users: In the SH-201 Bass JS window, press Command-A to
select (highlight) all patches. Next, press Command-C to "Copy" all of the
patches.
7. Return to the "Main" window, and click the first line "A-1" to highlight it.
8. For Windows Users: Press Ctrl+V to "Insert" the patches into the Main
window.
For Mac Users: Press Command-V to "Insert" the patches into the Main
window.
The thirty-two Bass patches will now appear in the Main window.

9. In the "Main" window, click the Write [All] button, then click the [OK] button.
The patches will be written into the current USER area of the SH-201.
You have now finished sending the patches to the SH-201.
Backing up your user patches
1. In the "Main" window of the Librarian, click the Read [All] button, then click
the [OK] button.
The current 32 USER patches of the SH-201 will be read into the "Main"
window.
2. For Windows Users: Return to the "Main" window, and press Ctrl+A to
select (highlight) all of the patches. Next, press Ctrl+C to Copy all the
patches.
For Mac Users: Return to the "Main" window, and press Command-A to
select (highlight) all of the patches. Next, press Command-C to "Copy" all the
patches.
3. From the "File" menu, choose "New." A new, untitled window will open in
addition to "Main."
4. Click the "End of ..." line to highlight it.
5. For Windows Users: Press Ctrl+V to "Insert" the patches at the "End of
..." line.
For Mac Users: Press Command-V to "Insert" the patches at the "End of ..."
line.
The 32 User Patches from the SH-201 will appear in the Untitled window.
6. With the Untitled window selected, choose the "File" menu command
"Save As..."
Assign a suitable filename and save the file on your computer.
You have now finished backing up the User Bank. If wish to load these
sounds again, follow the steps at the beginning of this document, Loading
SH-201 User Sounds.
