With more than 15 consecutive years of experience in the labor union
movement, I most recently held a position as Organizer Apprentice for Immigrant
Organizing Project in the CLEAN Carwash Campaign and as Internal Union
Organizer at SEUI USWW Orange County Office before that.

Throughout the time Ive been enrolled with AFL-CIO in the Immigrant
Organizing Project, I have been renovating my knowledge and improving the skills
necessary to be a more effective organizer to continue my passion in social justice
work, particularly with immigrant workers. In the CLEAN Carwash Campaign, for
example, I worked hard to ensure that undocumented immigrant workers in LA
have respect as much as a voice in the workplace by helping them secure better
wages and safer working conditions. I also assisted in the success of events like
MABA Annual Community Legal Fair by developing innovative approaches to serve
and protect immigrant workers. My supervisor even relied on my ability to
communicate in fluent Spanish, translate documents from English to Spanish,
proofread and everything. I have excellent communication skills and Im easy to get
along with. Im more than apt at handling high-pressure in unexpected situations
and I can be a vital team member or a strong independent agent.
