ABSTRACT
This study conducted to identify ICT Facility in library and its usage. To find out which form of resources ie.
Printed books and online journals are preferred resources in engineering college libraries. In order to perform this study
questionnaire methods used to collect information from the users and collected data analyzed. From this study we found
that Pen drive is most preferred storage devices among the users followed by CD. Irrelevant and information overload
was the main problem accessing internet. sitting in front of computer too long time is not possible and most the users felt
that licensing cost of e resources too high, and most users agree that system hanging due to virus as the main problem
while accessing online journals.

which were carried out manually in libraries with so much of pain and strain are being carried out smoothly with
the help of ICT (Information Communication Technology) with greater effectiveness.

From the above table 4 clearly indicates that, nearly 90% of the users opted printed text books more convenient
resources than e-books. But in journals Nearly 73% of the users give preference to online journals than printed journals.
Evergreen trend in reading newspapers us printed paper most convenient than online newspaper. Conferences/Seminar

78 respondents ie; 66% of the users agree that they meet server problem while downloading important documents.
86% of the users agree that system hanging due to virus while accessing information online.
CONCLUSIONS
40% of the users access using ICT facility in library daily and 30.5% the users use internet at least once in a week.
It is concluded that nearly 70.5 % of the users utilize ICT facility in library at least once in week (Ref. Table 3 & Chart2).
Most of the users accepted that printed books and online journals are preferred resources in engineering college libraries
(Refer Table 4). Google is the most preferred search engine followed by yahoo (Ref. Table 5 and Chart 3). Pen drive is
most preferred storage devices among the users followed by CD (Ref. Table 6). Irrelevant and information overload was
the main problem accessing internet. 83% of the users agree that sitting in front of computer too long time is not possible,
most of the users 91.5% of the users felt that licensing cost of e resources too high, and 86% of the users agree that
system hanging due to virus as the main problem while accessing online journals.
