E2.2 Reality
Reality is considered the state of things that truly exist. In this world, everyone has a
different interpretation of whats being communicated and yet people still come up with a
composite reality in which they can all interact productively, because we either have the same
goal in mind or we have a bond between one another and are willing took work with one another
despite our differences in perspectives to composite one reality. The government which is based
on system of checks and balances carries these aspects of communicating with one another to
composite one reality.
With people having different interpretations of whats being communicated we still have
a composite reality in which we all interact and thats because we have all have a common goal.
This can be seen in the government of system of checks and balances within the 1st presidential
debate of 2016 that was on September 2nd, being between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Within the debate Hillary states that she has a plan about taxing the wealthy, she also mentions
that she plans to create new jobs by repairing the countrys infrastructure, and by promoting the
development of alternative renewable energy sources which will overall help the economy.
(Debate 2016). While on the other hand, Trump states that he will fix the economy by reforming
the tax code, trade policies, and have companies come into the country which will create
competition between big corporations and creating up to twenty two million jobs. He also plans
on repairing the infrastructure which will overall as well lead to a better economy. (Debate 2016)

As you can see they have different interpretations on how to make America better and help its
being overall and yet they are able to come together on this same stage and speak their
differences despite dislike for each other and having different opinions. Its because they have
the same goal. They both plan on making America a better place by fixing the economy and
doing other several other works to make America great; however, they have plans with different
methods to them, yet the overall generic goal is the same. They both see reality different, and
have different interpretations on how making America get back up on its feet. This overall
objective brings these two together to composite one reality where they can productively interact
with one another and communicate. Despite their routes being different the end result will be the
same. They both have the same objective of winning the general election despite what their
differences of methods to win and offerings. This can also be seen in many corporations and
unions, such as movie productions, restaurants and especially congress.
There are many different perspectives and interpretations of whats is being
communicated in the world and a great example is congress which is within the government.
Now congress is made up of branches, more importantly where delegates from different
representatives of America such as democrats and republicans come together and discussion
issue and make laws. Michael Bruno states that congress have had arguments over nuclear
weapons, reducing nuclear arsenal and negotiations between Russia to overall help America.
(38). According to Bruno republicans want to limit and restrict the nuclear arsenal and have no
affiliation with Russia, while democrats believe that we should seek further negotiations with
Russia. Republicans issue on the problem is the overall lust of power and fear on reducing and
limiting the warheads from the nuclear arsenal. In the end republicans agreed with democrats and
President Barack Obama and came to a universal congressional agreement. Ultimately in the end

these delegates come together, with different perspectives on how the matter should be solved
and different interpretations on how it should be addressed. However paths to fix the issue on
nuclear weapons and seeking negotiations between Russia is overall to help America. There have
been many more cases on the government having different viewpoints on an issue and still
coming to compromise. For example on congress, house and senate deciding whether Mexican
trunks should pass through the Mexican border. The senate opposing viewpoint is that Mexican
trunks should be allowed through the United States. However the House disagrees as denies the
access of Mexican trunks coming through America (10). In the end they came to an agreement
with Mexican trunks coming through the boarder however having them all carefully inspected
and have safety examinations before allowing them access. There over all generic objective of
theirs brings these delegates of republicans and democrats together despite their differences in
interpretations and perspective. Their slight interpretations of whats being interacted overall is
their goal which helps them composite a reality in which they come together productively to
interact. Similar to Trump and Hillary, however this time its with a mass of people. We see
how this problem of theirs unites them. Although some may argue what if they dont have the
same goal, people can still come up with a composite reality.
If are different perspectives on whats being communicated to create a composite reality
is not based on everyone having the same a goal, then it is because we have a bond with the
person we are communicating with. In her article Two ways to belong in America Bharani
Mukherjee states In our regular Sunday morning conversations, we are unguardedly
affectionate. I am her only blood relative on this continent she and I found ourselves unable to
maintain the same polite discretion. Mira and Differ, however in the ways in which we hope to
interact with the country that we have chosen to live in. She is happier to live in America as

expatriate Indian than as an immigrant American(1-2). Mukherjee reveals to us within her
article that her and her sister have different perspectives and whats being communicated when it
comes to living in America as an immigrant. Her sister Mira wants to stay in America and
maintain a recognition as an Indian while Mukherjee needs to feel a part of the community.
Overall Mukherjee comes to acknowledge her sisters perspective and interpretations of living in
America as immigrant, to composite a reality, because she and her sister have a bond.
Throughout the article she consistently expresses the relationship she has with her sister, saying
affectionate Blood relative and revealing too us that they went through this immigration in
America together. Throughout the article reveals us the bond between her and her sister by
telling us what they do such as having conversations between one another on Sunday morning
and other activities. Their type of bond is based on affection and emotion towards one another.
When you have a bond with someone your willing to accept each others perspectives on whats
being communicated, despite each other interpretations because you have a relationship, a bond
with this person. In terms of Mukherjee and Mira they are sister, they have a family relationship
between one another that cant be broken. So they are willing to interact productively together
because of their bond between one another.
This notion of compositing one reality because of a bond is also revealed within the
government dating back to the seventeenth century. In his article From: Discipline & Punish
(1975) III. DISCIPLINE 3. Panopticism Michael Foucault states that plague of the seventeenth
century led everything to be placed under the authority of a syndic, who keeps it under
surveillance. This surveillance is based on a system of permanent registration: reports from the
syndics to the intendants, from the intendants to the magistrates or mayor.. 'to prevent anyone
from concealing and dealing with those sick of the contagion, unknown to the magistrates'(1).

Diaz 5
This early modern age of government and mayors created a bond between one another to keep
the people from the town from getting infected. The early modern age government did
everything they can prevent the plague by taking extreme measure however it is within their
bond of survival and partnership to overcome the plague helps the towns people such as families
and governments major, syndic, and magistrates to unite as one and communicate with one
another to stay alive, ultimately to create one composite reality. The syndics and mayors
different interpretations are accepted by one another because the plague is among and a danger to
them so they formed a bond between one another of survival and partnership. They are willing to
interact together because of their bond between one another.
This is no fantasy world but it is without a doubt that everyone perceives reality
differently more or less because we all have different interpretations of whats being
communicated, people are able to establish a composite reality in which they can all interact with
one another because they either have the same goals or they have bonds. These goals helps unite
people, to interact productively with their different interpretations because their objective is the
same, so despite their different perspectives they lead to the same end result. However if people
dont have the same goal in mind than they have a bond between one another in which they are
able to come together productively to communicate with one another despite seeing reality
different because of their bond between them is composed of emotions and partnership that
brings people to communicate with one another. These concepts and aspects of goals and bonds
can be seen in early modern age of world and todays modern society within the government
such as presidential debate, congress, associations and various other situations. For this reason,
regardless of everyones perspective of whats being communicated, and their interpretations we
are still able composite reality where everyone interacts productively together.
