ATIS Broadcast

The captured data file (atis_ffz_am_baseband_256k_complex.dat ) was obtained from a

USRP tuned to 118.250 MHz. This is frequency used for ATIS broadcast in AM. The
data file is available at :

Importing this data file into MATLAB using the method described in Capturing Signals
in GNU Radio , we can find the DFT of this data to display the spectrum. The complete
256KHz of spectrum centered around 118.250 MHz is shown below.

If we only display the spectrum 5 KHz to either side of the center frequency we display:

Note the AM signal is approximately 3 KHz below the center. This is due to the fact that
the USRP has a slight frequency error. Again, expanding the display around the AM
Signal:
