GUIDE FORM SPECIFICATIONS

General
The luminaire shall be a General Electric NEMA
Heavy Duty PLO ll
ll CAT. NO. (Specify)
- RLO
The luminaire shall
consist of: a heavy gauge
aluminum housing with a galvanized steel stiffener
for added structural support of ballast and slipfitter, a
hinged and gasketed aluminum door frame, all corrosion resistant hardware, a da rk b ronze baked Alkyd
enamel finish, a heavy duty procelain socket with
lamp grips, an integral ballast, and a UL listing "Suitab le for Wet Locations."

Ballast
The lu m inaire shall contain an integral ballast with
allcomponents mounted on a galvanized steel support. The ballastshall be prewired to the lamp socket
and terminal board, requiring only connection of the
power supply leads to the terminal board.
The entire ballast assembly shall be easily removable and replaceable through the use of quick djsconnect plu gs. The ballast shall operate the applicable lamp Jrom a nom inal (120, 208, 240,277 ,480)volt,
60 Hz power source within the limits specified by the
lamp manufacturer. The ballast shall reliably start
and operate the lamp in ambient temperatures down
to -20"F for mercury and metal-halide or 40"F for
