3. Compare the values obtain in (1) and (2).

The experimental value for fiberline, copper and brass has higher critical force compare to
theoretical force, except for steel.
4. What are the different between one material and another?
Copper is used in a wide range of products due to its excellent electrical and thermal
conductivity, good strength, good formability and resistance to corrosion. Whereby Brass is
commonly used for decorative purposes primarily because of its resemblance to gold. It is also a
commonly used to make musical instruments due to its high workability and durability.
5. Identify one engineering example where buckling is highly concerned.Explain your answer in
details
Buckling is highly concerned in structural engineering design and where the field having
problems on stability of an structure. This has led to a wide range of stability problems in
different materials and different structural. Other than that, buckling is one of the most important
fact in modern engineering structures. Such as Aeronautics field

CONCLUSION:
The results of an experimental and theoretical study of the buckling using different type of
material have been discussed. Upon starting this experiment the instructor had mentioned that the
maximum testing force is 2000N.and unfortunately we never obtain any result such as to the
maximum testing force . From the calculations, we identified the theoretical value and also the
percentage errors between the theoretical and experimental values. However different material
have different critical force and also different aspect.
