Proposal of Extension Program of Technical Education in the field
of Engineering
I.

Rationale:

A core mandate of academic institutions is to deliver quality instruction,

research and extension program advancement in order to produce
competent and globally competitive professionals and also to enrich the
livelihood project of the community by educating the people in the village in
the outreach extension program. The latter goal can be achieved with
continuing preparation and exposure and visitation in the remote areas. The
role of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) is supporting the program
to provide all necessary facilities and training program to the students,
faculty and to the community as well. Such approach is one as ASCOTs
strategic plan in order to improve its services to the community it serves.
Today, the trend and development of construction projects in our province
was continue increasing due to the tourist spot attraction involvement in
different location in the province. Many investors will be financed high rise
commercial buildings for catering the tourist accommodation. This
development in the province looks up opportunity to the people in Aurora to
getting appropriate job. The extension program of engineering technology
can be better helping to the community especially to the poor people.
The main objective of the proposed project is to enhance and strength the
extension program of engineering technology for the benefits of the people
of the Province of Aurora. In order to gain this objective, seminars or
workshop in the community should be conducted continuously. This
workshop provides a platform for the exchange of information, experience
and technical education in the field of engineering that could be used of the
participants on their construction task.

II.

Objective

The main objective of the proposed project is to enhance and strength

the extension program of engineering technology for the benefits of the
people of the Province of Aurora.

III.

Project Activities
a. Major Activity
The following activity will be undertaken for the successful
implementation of the projects:
- Purchase of utilization materials in conducting technical
works.
- Service vehicle for transport the utilization equipment
- Expenses for refreshment, certificate of training
- Venue preparation and decoration,etc.
b. Minor Activity
- chair arrangement

- checking attendance
-registration, etc

3.2 Required Input

3.2.1 Manpower and Human Resources

a. A team of Competent Technical Experts will manage

and supervise, the
implementation of the project.
b. Number of Participants joins in the program

c. Barangay Officials supervision and recommend the

implementation project.

3.2.4 Financial Input

A total of twenty seven thousand seven hundred eight pesos (Php.
27,780.00) shall be utilized in the procurement of the extension program of
Engineering technology.

IV.

Project Benefits
Enhance the extension program of Engineering Department and
Improve livelihood project of the participants, and to be additional
source of income to the beneficiaries.

V.

Project Implementation Plan

Department of Engineering will spearhead the operation of the
project. Technical Experts will supervise the trainee, assessing and
recommend to enhance the skills of the trainees. The Barangay
official should recommend for improvement of extension program of
Engineering.

VII. Project Output
