AND PRIVATE SECTOR BANKS
INTRODUCTION
In the organized segment, banking system occupies an
important place in nations economy. It plays a pivotal role in the economic
development of a country and forms the core of the money market in an advanced
country. The commercial banks in India comprise of both Public sector as well as
Private sector banks. Banks have to deal with many customers everyday and render
various types of services to its customer. Its a well known fact that no business can
exist without customers.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY


The objective of this study is to compare the public sector
banks and private banks in terms of attitude of consumer behavior.

SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY:-
With better understanding of customers perception,
companies can determine the actions required to meet the customers needs. They can
identify their own strengths and weaknesses, where they stand in comparison to their
competition, chart out path future progress and improvments in the work practices and
processes used within the company.

RESEARCH DESIGN:

(i)scope of the study:


The scope of the study is confined in comparing the Public
sector and Private sector banks in terms of customer attitude. The study will be
undertaken on the basis of sample survey.
(ii)Research Design:
The Research Design would be descriptive and cross
sectional.
(iii)Sample size:
The sample would be selected on random basis. A sample of
45 respondents would be used in the research.
(iv)Data collection:
The data would be collected from Primary source through
questionnaires and interviews.

DATA ANALYSIS:
Data analysis can be done by the help of the according to
questionnaire and interviews.
According to survey we find that:-
75% of the people think about the public banks where as 25% of the people think about
the private banks.
62% of the people want to open their account in public sector banks and rest
38% of the people have a desire to open their account in private sector banks.
51% of the customer are satisfied with the public sector banks and 49% are
satisfied with the private sector banks.
70% of the customer all the facilities from their favourite banks and rest 30 %
want some other facilities towards the banks.
24% of the people get influence from the husband 21% of the customer from the
wife 29% from the marketer 20% from the peer group 6% from the others.
40% of the people think that public sector is better in time taken for various
activities and 60% of the people think that private sector is better in time taken
activities.
62% of the people think that their money is safe in public sector banks and 38%
about the private sector banks

CONCLUSION :-
So according to this we reach at this point that todays generation
think about the public bank, want to open their bank account in public sector banks but
dont want to work professionally in a public sector banks and to invest their money in
private sector banks because they feel security. They expected money security, good
management system, consumer services, easy availability of the banks from their
favourite banks which is provide the mobile banking, internet banking, ATM banking,
branch banking etc. Mostly people are get influenced by their peer groups.

FINDINGS:-
Consumer satisfaction level is higher in Private sectors banks as
compared with the Public Sector Banks.
