About Me

My name is Maria and I am studying to be a teacher. I

have always wanted to be a teacher and I want to be the
teacher that creates fun activities for all types of learners.
I like to knit, bake and ride my bike.
Philosophy
My professional teaching philosophy is to create fun
activities that promote learning of all types. I believe
every student deserves to be treated equally with a zero
tolerance for bullying. As a teacher the goal is to provide
a clean, green and positive atmosphere learning area that
creates comfortable learning. My teaching philosophy
also will be making connections, creating dialogue and
communication as well as letting students know to always
ask questions.

2. DEMONSTRATE A PROFESSIONAL MANNER IN KEEPING

WITH THE ONTARIO COLLEGE OF TEACHERS STANDARDS
OF PRACTICE AND ETHICAL STANDARDS OF PRACTICE

One of the ethical

standards of practice is to guide ethical decisions and actions in the teaching profession.
During gym class and during the day I see my mentor teacher respecting all his students. My mentor teacher
promotes these ethical decisions and actions. For instance during gym class, when the students were playing
volleyball, one of the students was laughing at another student for the way they threw the ball and my mentor
teacher took care of that right away. The way he took care of it was Do we laugh at others when they are
trying? the student then responded, no we dont. What my mentor teacher did was teach about care and
respect from the ethical standards of practice.
