RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
The website is an in interactive timeline. Students can create stacks for specific dates and time
periods using different forms of media. The student could use different video, music, pictures, or text.
There is a function in where a student could use their own recording of themselves narrating their work.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your
classroom, or among students and others outside of the classroom?
The students or I could select groups to work in and each group would need to create a time line and
present their final product to the class. There is also a function on the site in where comments could be
left on the project. It would be a requirement that each group comments on a different groups time line
and each write two positive things, and one critique that is constructive in how the assignment could be
better.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION

Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration
you described, using the selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would rate Capzles a 2. I think it is a solid website that creates creative timelines for the students.
However, I dont think this product could transform a lesson. Nor do I feel the lesson would be impossible
without Capzles. I think the site is great for more so reinforcing the information the students learned. I
also feel that it will increase student engagement, but not to point of being rated a 3 for a optimal
student-centered environment.
