The use of English worldwide is a matter of controversy .

Not surprisingly ,
therefore there are many arguments for and against this practice.
On one hand , i feel that English should be a way of communication
throughout the world to educate the general public about the new research
in Science and Technology .It is well known fact that most of the studies are
available in English ,because scientist publish their theories in English .It is
difficult for other language people to understand it due to which they stay
behind the world in development . For example ,the students in developing
territories when reach to university level then they are unable to cope with
their peers who come from developed nations where the English is a native
language .So, to keep pace with the world then we have to adopt English as
our mother tongue.
In certain circumstances ,however, i think that there is strong justification
against the applicability of English globally ,provided there are ethical
issues. Most of the nations would take it a step towards the extinct of their
languages which may create tension among the countries. It is a common
observation that people want to retain their own tradition and try to transfer
it generation after generation which would become impossible by using

English in daily life ,Such as ,children in foreign countries forgot their own
language because they learn and speck other language of the host country
all the time. Furthermore ,scientific developments can be easily translate in
different languages .Thus ,there is no need to use English globally.
All in all, to some extant English is better for advancement but it should not
be on the expense of someones identification .
