WARM UP:
AIM: To get students attention.
PROCEDURE: I greet the students and ask them different questions such as: How are
you today? What day is today?.
SKILLS: listening and speaking
LEAD IN:
AIM: To get the students ready for the lesson.
PROCEDURE: I check the homework and ask them how is the Past Simple formed like
for the regular verbs, then announce the topic of the lesson Past Simple recap.
SKILLS: speaking
ACTIVITY ONE:
AIM: The students must acquire a proper pronunciation.
TEACHING AID: Textbook
PROCEDURE: The students pronounce the words and give the Romanian synonym and
if they dont know the meaning of the words, I write it on the blackboard. (exercise
1/page 70)

ACTIVITY TWO:
AIM: The students must read the text with the proper pronunciation and intonation.
TEACHING AID: Textbook
PROCEDURE: The students must read the text (exercise 3/page 70) and identify the
regular verbs used at Past Simple.
SKILLS: reading
ACTIVITY THREE:
AIM: To properly use the Past Simple
CLASS MANAGEMENT: Individual
TEACHING AID: Textbook
PROCEDURE: The students have to put the verbs in the brackets at the past simple tense
and then answer the questions about the exercise , such as : ,,What did Doris do on
Thursday?. (exercise 5/page 71)
SKILLS: reading, writing
ACTIVITY FOUR:
AIM: To properly use the Past tense
TEACHING AID: Textbook
PROCEDURE: The students must answer the question ,, How was your weekend?
using the tags below the exercise and putting the verbs at the Past Simple. They will also
write the answers down in their notebooks. (exercise 6/page 71)
SKILLS: reading, speaking, writing.
EVALUATIONS: I evaluate students answers and draw conclusions.
ACTIVITY FIVE:
AIM: to acknowledge the regular verbs.
TEACHING AIDS: blackboard, marker.
PROCEDURE: I write some sentences on the blackboard and the students must complete
them with the proper regular verb, so that the sentence would make sense.
SKILLS: writing
ACTIVITY SIX:
AIM: to understand what they have to do for homework
PROCEDURE: I explain to them that they have to make sentences using each word
describing the picture and the past tense.
HOMEWORK: the students must solve an exercise from the textbook and read the
grammar rules below it. (exercise 4, page 71).
