If your internet service provider promises 97% availability of internet service in a year
and delivers 97% of availability i.e. its meets the customer expectation thus fulfilling
customer satisfaction, but if its delivers 98.5% of availability in year and its competence
weighted over expectation then it provides you with measureable quality service.
If you went to see a music concert show and expected a certain artist to show up and
performs his/hers hit singles and nothing else thus meeting your expectation of customer
satisfaction but if the sound quality was bad or if a surprise artist joins him/her on the
stage thus not meeting your or exceeding your expectation respectively creating a quality
service that can be measured.
