RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Animoto is a digital presentation website that allows students to create cohesive and fun presentation in
their classes. You could compare Animoto to PowerPoint and Prezi. With Animoto students can add
videos, pictures, text, voice overs, etc. to create whatever presentation they need. Animoto is what
students will be using to present their final projects on their Shakespeare plays to the classroom.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your
classroom, or among students and others outside of the classroom?
Students will use this presentation website to build their final presentations on their chosen theory
based on a Shakespeare play. On the first day of their projects, they will begin building their Animoto
based on the group conversations. Creating their Animoto in a group allows them to complete group
work while actively and effectively using a new technology.

teacher during a lesson (e.g., a
demonstration)

Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration
you described, using the selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
Animoto gets a 2.5 because it aligns to content standards, enhances this lesson, increases student
engagement and supports mastery of concepts, students are active and engaged while using it, but it
would not be impossible to complete this assignment without it because there are other presentation
tools they could use. However, it is a crucial part to the assignment since they must present their final
project to the classroom.
