Parameter explanations

circuitgroupname
NCGR
circuit group name
This parameter indicates the name of the circuit group to which the circuits are added.

RCAADDCIRCUITSTOCIRCUITGROUP

This parameter indicates the name of the circuit group to which the circuits are added.
This parameter is obligatory if you do not give a circuit group number.

circuitgroupnumber
CGR

circuit group number

This parameter indicates the number of the circuit group to which the circuits are added.
This parameter is obligatory if you do not give a circuit group name.

Aterinterface<option>
Give the ETPCM and CRCT parameters to identify the Ater interface.
Note: Exception:AddcircuitsfromonePCMatatimeforaCCScircuitgroupforwhichthefreeCICallocationisnotused.

ETPCM
The number for the physical PCM on the Ater interface. Use this parameter in a bit based switching connection
matrix. Give one ETPCM parameter at a time. The circuits must be connected to the TCSM.

CRCT
Identify the circuits between the TCSM and the MSC. The circuits must be connected to the TCSM. The '&', '&-'
and '&&-' characters are allowed.

circuit(s)
CRCT

circuit(s)

The circuit or circuits must not belong to another circuit group. The exchange termination (ET) must be equipped.
The '&', '&-' and '&&-' characters are allowed. Give a maximum of 255 circuits in one command.
This parameter is obligatory.
Note: Exception:AddcircuitsfromonePCMatatimeforaCCScircuitgroupforwhichthefreeCICallocationisnotused,aswellasfortheDCS
circuitgroup.

bitbasedcircuit(s)
BCRCT
bit based circuit(s)
The circuits must not belong to another circuit group, and the ET must be equipped.
The '&', '&-' and '&&-' characters are allowed. Give a maximum of 255 circuits in one command.
This parameter is used in the SPE circuit group.

huntingordinalnumber
ORD

hunting ordinal number

This parameter indicates where the new circuits are placed in the sequence of the existing circuits.
The ordinal number indicates the place of the circuit to be added into the circuit group.
If you do not give this parameter, the system places the circuits at the end of the hunting chain in the circuit group.
For a bidirectional CCS circuit group, the system searches the correct position of the circuits on the basis of the
CIC codes that already exist.
This parameter is optional in the DCS circuit. If the direction is outgoing or bidirectional, it is also optional in the
CAS and CCS circuit groups.

controlofcircuit
CTRL

control of circuit

This parameter indicates the exchange that controls the circuit in a bidirectional circuit group in case of a dual
seizure.

seizure.
X
Y

the exchange concerned has control

partner exchange has control

This parameter is optional in the DCS circuit. Give this parameter to the CAS and CCS circuit groups if the
direction is outgoing or bidirectional. If you do not give this parameter, the control is given to the partner exchange
by default.

circuitsinreverseorder
REV = Y
reverse order of circuit is used
Use this parameter to add the circuits to the circuit group in a reverse order compared to the order in which they
are given in the command.

stepofaddedcircuits
ORDSTEP
step of added circuits
This parameter indicates how many existing circuits are stepped over when the new circuits are placed among the
existing ones, starting from the given ordinal number.
1
2

every other circuit is stepped over

every third circuit is stepped over

For instance, if the 91-1, 91-2, 91-3, 91-4, and 91-5 circuits are already connected to the circuit group, and you
add the 92-1, 92-2, and 92-3 circuits in this same circuit group by giving ORDSTEP=2 and ORD=2, the hunting
order becomes the following: 91-1, 92-1, 91-2, 91-3, 92-2, 91-4, 91-5, and 92-3.
Use this parameter on bidirectional CAS circuit groups.

stepofcircuits
CRCTSTEP
step of circuits
Use this parameter in the CCS circuit groups to define how the circuits are picked from the sequence given in the
CRCT parameter:
1
2

every second circuit is picked

every third circuit is picked

The circuits are added in steps, starting from the first PCM circuit given. For example, the 2-1 to 2-10 circuits are
added using CRCTSTEP=2. The first circuit is added, the next two are dropped, the fourth circuit is added and so
on. As a result, the following circuits are added: 2-1, 2-4, 2-7, and 2-10.

nameofDchannelsystem
DCS

name of D-channel system

This parameter is obligatory for the DCS circuit group.

numberofPCMsystem(iffreecicoff)
CCSPCM
number of PCM-system
The seven most significant bits of the circuit identification code, indicating the 2048 kbit/s PCM system which
connects the originating and the destination points.
The final circuit identification code is derived from the number of the PCM system and the last five time slots.

RCAADDCIRCUITSTOCIRCUITGROUP

The final circuit identification code is derived from the number of the PCM system and the last five time slots.
This parameter is obligatory for the CCS circuit groups, and the value must be unique for each PCM connected to
the same partner exchange.

circuitidentificationcode(iffreecicon)
CIC

circuit identification code

The part of the label in a signalling message indicating one speech circuit among those directly interconnecting
the destination and the originating points.
This parameter is obligatory for the CCS circuit groups using free CIC allocation.

directionforcircuitidentificationcode(iffreecicon)
CICDIR
direction for circuit identification code
This parameter indicates the direction in which the CIC codes are given for the circuits.
0

ascending

descending

If the direction is descending, the CIC parameters are given in a descending order. For example the given CIC
parameter is 300 and the number of the circuits is 3. The direction given for the CIC parameter is descending. The
given 3 circuits receive the following CIC codes: 300, 299, and 298.
This parameter is obligatory for the CCS circuit groups using free CIC allocation.

stepofcic
CICSTEP
step of cic
Use this parameter on the CCS circuit groups to indicate how the CIC codes are allocated to the circuits to be
added.
1

step over 1 cic (give every other number as CIC)

step over 2 cic (give every third number as CIC)

When the circuits are added, the parameter indicates the step of the added circuits. If the direction is descending,
the CIC parameter used as a CIC code to the circuits is given as descending by the given step. For example the
given CIC parameter is 300, the number of the circuits is 3 and the step of the circuits is 2. The direction given for
the CIC parameter is descending. The given 3 circuits receive the following CIC codes: 300, 298, and 296.

huntinggroup
HGR

hunting group

Use this parameter to define which hunting group the circuits are added to:
1
2

hunting group 1
hunting group 2

This parameter is obligatory for the bidirectional CCS circuit groups for which METHOD=3 has been defined when
creating the circuit group with the RCC command.
Examples
1. Add circuits to the CAS circuit group called LONDON. The circuits in the circuit group are in the 20-1, 21-1,
20-2, and 21-2 hunting order.
