It is very important to plan and to make our career.

After passing 10 th
examination at that age of about 15 or 16 years I was just introduced and guided
by our parents, family members and others about different fields/ streams such as
Arts, Commerce or Science. This is the 1st main stage where knowingly or
unknowingly we are finding the field for us. Some students also give aptitude test to
get somewhat idea to find out in which field they have interest in or some students
decide in before only for which stream to opt for. I found interest and had inclination
for opting in this field so I opted for Commerce stream from 11 th std. Then after
passing 12th std. examination I took admission for B.Com which is 3 years course. I
have graduation degree in B.Com. In this period I asked different people about
different courses in post-graduation. And after taking information I felt that
management is the field I should take a post- graduation degree in this. So I decided
to do M.B.A. / P.G.D.M. This is the stage where we are making or taking different
actions to reach/ make our career. When have to plan our career in beforehand only
so that it brings clarity and we can visualize it better. When we plan we have to take
2 components in consideration they are 1st is objectives of our career and 2nd is
simultaneous actions taken to achieve the objectives. Our career plan should be
based on setting objectives. Objectives should be in the form of desire to have a
liking in that career. All of us should have data about our career profiles. Before
opting for career we should take or extract as much information as we can from
different sources but they must be reliable and good ones. So it would be easy for
us to make a description of our career profiles. Some people ask different questions
such as why you opted of this career only?, do you really have the skills and abilities
in you?, how much scope is there in your career?, What are your plans? And what
are your objectives and plan in future?

After two years down the line my two profiles are Im interested in 1 st is
taking Finance and banking as a specialization in M.B.A. In this type of career my
interested profile is Planning and Budgeting. 2 nd one is taking H.R. is a
specialization in 2nd year of M.B.A and in this field my interested profile is begin with
coordinating activities across departments and scheduling interviews/ meetings
recruitment Consultant. My objectives are clear that while achieving my career I
want to have good marks in all subjects. By attending guest lectures I can get a
little bit of an idea what are the different profiles which are in demand these days
and could have a rough idea about corporate world. Actions are very important so
that it would be easy to reach our objectives early and in effective manner. In my
case or type of career I should have good contacts and communication skills. In the
field of Finance as I want career profile in planning and budgeting is important to
have good skills in the field of commerce that is accounting and when I was
studying B.com I had taken Cost and Works Accounting as a specialized subject. So
it would be beneficial for me to take this profile as it requires Costing, Planning and
to make a good Budgets . It also consists of different types of work under this

category that is helping various business units to estimate different costs/ revenues
they are going to incurred in future or at present stage for each of them and we
should provide them cost effective and efficient budget. It also helps others to plan
their production as per the costs in the present market. In H.R. field late I would like
to be in charge of sourcing potential employees and reviewing their profiles or
interviewing them for jobs within the company.
I have selected this profile, objective and actions because I have interest in
this type of work because this sector helps various departments to take decisions. I
would like to learn different concepts in Finance, accounting and cost accounting
thats why I want to take Finance so it would help me to extract as much interesting
thinks for future. Accounting because I will have various types of reports,
documents and numbers to form accounts with a view of how well company is
doing. Similarly, H.R. will deal with the human aspect and its contribution to the
running of a company.

In order to achieve my objectives I will have to rely upon the knowledge given
in my institute i.e. IMDR. I will attend maximum lectures. I will do my assignments
sincerely. Apart from the lectures, I will study from the books recommended in the
curriculum. In case of difficulties, I will approach the concerned professor. Thus, I will
make the effort to understand the subject so that , I can fare well in the
examination. My immediate next aim will be to secure a good campus selection. I
have about 2 years time frame to implement this plan.
I have realized that, Im good at Accounts and Economics. Therefore Banking
and other financial institutes will be on my priority list in my career planning.
Secondly, my aptitude tests have indicated a career in H.R. Therefore my 2 nd option
would be in that line. Im born and thought up in metro cities i.e. Mumbai and Pune.
I would like to have career base in metro cities. But, Im sure that, I will be able to
adjust comfortably in small cities and towns also. My most cherished dream is to
eventually to start my own business in food industry like a snacks center.
