Summary of module Content and module aims : This module includes topics aimed at
imparting basic and in-depth knowledge about important concepts like creativity, innovation
and emotional intelligence. The different subjects that will be taught includes technical
concepts from the field of psychology with more emphasis on the application at the workplace.
At the end of the semester the students are expected to know how to be creative and lead
others towards creativity and help create favorable conditions to innovation and technical
progress in various fields. Students must understand that progress is impossible without
scientific research, using appropriate methodology. Moreover psychological variables like
emotions and emotional intelligence will be thoroughly discussed. Students will be encouraged
to understand emotions and develop the ability to manage negative emotions like anger, with
the aim of fostering a healthy and positive environment at the workplace.

Learning Outcomes: Students are expected to understand that covert behaviours like
creativity and emotions, are of paramount importance inspite of the fact that those
behaviours are often subtle and invisible to awareness. Besides trying to impart those
important characteristics onto others, students will be encouraged to themselves
become more creative in all fields including managerial psychology. Moreover they will
be requested to introspect into their emotions and compare and contrast same with
other individuals. One important thing to understand is that although people may differ
greatly on various characteristics, difference may be used by people to be
complementary to each other and positive emotions in groups may lead to great
synergy and accomplishments.
