Observation Task 5:

level learner

A day in the life of a higher

Focus: On the learner.


The first day you will observe a lower level learner. The second
day you will observe a higher level learner.
Objective: For student teachers to gain an initial understanding of how learners
are different.

For this observation, you will begin by observing


the class for 1 hour.
1. What do you notice? Does the class have any strengths or weaknesses? In the
class
they have good students but there are very noisy so, that affect them
while teacher learn
them also, all students affect other so teacher should organize their sets.
Yes, such as,
teacher learn them in a good way but she learns them very fast so that
does not fit all levels
in class.
2. Are there learners who finish activities quickly? What do they do when
they have finished? Yes, teacher open the film any one are finish go to see
the film.
3. Are there learners who do not finish a task(s)? How does the teacher deal
with them? Yes, bring gifts for all students without any one did not finish.
4. Are there any learners with special needs? How does the teacher meet
their needs? Yes, one of the students cant understood quickly so, teacher
repeat the lesson for her until she understood.
5. How does the teacher manage learners with different levels/abilities? By
do diffident activity and tasks.

When you have made your notes, ask the teacher to


help you choose a lower level or a higher level learner in
the class.
Observe one of the learners for the rest of the day and
make notes.

1. How many different activities did the learner do? Two different activities
2. How did s/he interact with the other learners throughout the day? She is
noisy but sometimes not talk with any one and imagine with herself.
3. What was the longest period of time the learner spent focusing on one
activity?6 to 7min
4. What did the learner do during the break times? Do noisy with their
friends but sometimes set with herself.
5. What did the learners attention span / interest during activities seem
like? Kids will understand in interesting way and dont forget the lesson
by doing activities with teacher so, teacher do for students different
activities in each lesson.
6. What did the learner seem to like doing the most / least during the day?
She like to play or set with herself and imagine also do noisy but the
least thing she dont like do activities with students and focus while
teacher learn them.
