2. This offer is subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of the following conditions and other conditions
stated in Annex I ;
a. A medical check-up in Malaysia arranged by UTM certifies that you are medically fit and in good
health to accept the offer. The university reserves the rights to withdraw this offer or terminate
your study if you are found to suffer or be a carrier of any contagious/ infectious disease, or have
a medical condition requiring continuous medical care that will adversely affect your study at
UTM. Please refer to Annex II for details.
b. That you have attained the minimum English language requirement i.e. TOEFL score of 550 (or
79 IBT) or IELTS band 6.0 (only original and valid TOEFL or IELTS (Academic) certificates of not
more than two years old upon the day of registration are accepted. Institutional - based /
prediction score TOEFL/IELTS are not acceptable).
c. That you have been issued a valid visa and Student Pass by the Malaysian Immigration
Authorities (Please refer to Annex V for details).
3. This offer is valid for ONE semester only. Please note that the University now has four official start
dates for research students. These are September, November, February and April . Please refer to
the table below for details:

4. The University DOES NOT provide any on-campus FAMILY accommodation for students. Students
who wish to apply for TWIN-SHARING on-campus accommodation have to fill in an application form

available at http://web.utm.my/isc/ .
5. Terms and conditions of this offer and the tuition fees are stated in Annex I and Annex IV with an
additional RM 500.00 as a Personal Bond to be paid in full during registration and refundable upon
completion of study provided that all required payments have been made to the university.
6. The Reception Week Schedule for International Students will be posted on our website
http://web.utm.my/isc/ a month before the reception date.
7. This offer letter must be read with Annexures (I-V) as enclosed.
8. Kindly notify your acceptance of this offer as soon as possible . Please refer to the link given in the
notification email.
