INTERVIEW- LABEL SAKSHI

(fashion designer)
Q) HOW DO YOU DEFINE YOUR WORK?
ANS.- We all work to earn a living, so do i. passion
comes voluntarily.
Q) HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOURA) CLIENTS- I have to shuffle between work and my
clients every now and then. But I dont let either of
them suffer as I have scheduled my working hours in a
way that I have enough time for my clients as well as it
is really important to discuss the designs with the one
who intends to buy it and it should be true to their
money.
B) OFFICE- I mostly stay here at my office and when I
am not around, I have a trustworthy staff that can
handle any sort of client queries. and I generally attend
fashion shows as they encourage me to innovate more.
Also, I put up my designs on display as well as for sale
at different places. The upcoming display is at Oberoi
Maidans, civil lane, New Delhi.
C) TIME MANAGEMENT- Same as A)
Enlighten more?
I skype or facetime with the clients when either of us
are busy. That way we kill less time.
D) ENVIRONMENT- while designing, environmental
conservation is what we take care of.
Q) WHAT DO YOU DO FOR-

A) SOCIETY- We are a part of the SMILE FOUNDATION


which has branches all over the country, benefitting
children and their families by conducting welfare
projects on healthcare, education, livelihood for the
needy and women empowerment. Also, we design
clothes for them and raise money through the designs
that our clients buy for donation.
B) PEOPLE/ WORKERS- By adding on bonuses and
incentives and paid leaves. Also the people here are
very cooperative.
Q) WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT ETHICS IN YOUR JOB?
ANS) The concept of ethical fashion is old, however, it is
gaining more and more popularity in the modern times.
As awareness about the environment conservation,
cruelty to animals and ethical issues in business is
rising, even fashion brands are increasingly adopting
ethical means. Customers are also becoming more and
more aware of ethical fashion and the demand for
ethically produced fashion products is on the rise. So as
per the ethics, we are environment friendly.
