Associated Learning Standard(s): The resource may be generally applicable, if so, simply state that.
List any ISTE-S standards that seem to naturally align with the selected resource.
This resource aligns with the ISTE standards for students in all six categories: creativity and innovation,
research and information fluency, communication and collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving,
and decision making, digital citizenship, and technology operations and concepts. Weebly especially
aligns with digital citizenship because students can create websites all to their discretion, but it gives
them the freedom and responsibility to practice safely and legally on the internet.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Weebly was originally created to allow an easy platform for online business to startup. Now its used for
a variety of things like portfolios, online classrooms, personal uses, etc. You can create any website for
free on Weebly and even buy domains on the Weebly site. 325 million people visit Weebly websites
every day, so it is a very accessible way to build a website. The pages are easy to build and theme
around whatever mood or type of website you are attempting to create.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your
classroom, or among students and others outside of the classroom?
Weebly could easily be used to create a virtual classroom with copies of assignments and rubrics that
students can visit and I can update as their teacher. I could also have them create individual Weeblys for
them to upload their assignments throughout the year so they create a portfolio of all of their work.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION

Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration
you described, using the selected resource?

Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would give it a 3 because I love Weebly, and I think it truly transforms a lesson, and there are definitely
some things you cannot do without it like build a website. Students will be very engaged because they
can build their own website to their own tastes. It could aling to content standards depending on how
you shape the lesson. It can always align with content standards because it can house every single
assignment students have done over the course of the semester showcasing all of the students work.
