Greetings of love and peace!
The Team Handos Sugbo 3 of the University of San Carlos is participating in the Shell Eco-marathon Challenger
Philippines at Clark Pampanga, Philippines on February 2017 and Shell Eco-marathon Asia at Singapore on March
2017. The university has been represented in the Shell Eco-marathon for the past years in Malaysia (2012) and in
Manila, Philippines (2014-2016), where the team participated in the Battery Electric Mobile category in 2015 and
Gasoline category last March in Manila. This will be the teams third entry into the competition.
The Shell Eco-marathon is an avenue where students from different countries in Asia design, build, showcase their
eco-friendly cars and vie to be the best. This event inspires young individuals to find innovative ways in achieving
extreme energy efficiency in transport. This established competition also aims to showcase fresh designs and
concepts for cars and to give the participating future engineers unique, hands-on experiences in testing alternative
fuels and advanced technology.
Handos Sugbo 3 is a continuation of the previous team representing University of San Carlos and Cebu in the
prestigious event. With this new breed, the team aims to improve the Gasoline Prototype Vehicle - competed last
year - to run efficiently in kilometers per one liter of fuel.
We would like you to be a part of this event by supporting us financially in making this competition possible. The
support that you can endow upon us will significantly help us in the retrofitting and manufacturing expenses of the
prototype vehicle and all other expenditures throughout the competition. We would be very grateful for the support

Shell Eco-marathon Asia will be covered by international news sources as well as global presence of students,
engineers, businessmen and patrons around Asia. Aside from being a good advertising opportunity for your
