I picked the first article to summarize.

The article by Gelula is about effective lecture presentation skills. He says

that lecture style teaching is used the most in education, especially in medical
teaching. The correct organization and preparation are a must for a successful
lecture. On the other hand, the presenter must be able to connect to the
audience in order to be successful. He says, Teaching is a lively activity. It calls
for more than just offering ideas and data to an audience. It calls for direct
contact with the audience, effective use of language, capability to use limited
time effectively, and the ability to be entertaining (Gelula 1).
One of the keys to being successful is having the perfect voice clarity and
speed. The speaker shouldnt talk quietly, but he or she also shouldnt yell at the
audience the entire time. The speaker also should not talk very slowly to make
the lecture last longer. If you start talking very quickly, the audience wont be
able to understand what you are saying and they also wont be able to take
notes on what you are saying. The person giving the presentation should listen
to their voice. This will give you a good indication of if you need to speed up,
slow down, talk louder, or talk not as loud.
Another key to being successful is by using effective slides and visuals. Good
visual aids are great tools to support the information you are presenting. You
must be careful though because poor visual aids will tear your presentation
apart. When using slides, you should use large font and few words. You want the
audiences attention on your graphic and not on a bunch of text. A major point
that Gelula stresses is that the speaker should not face towards the slides and

talk to them. When facing your slides, you can not read the audience to know if
they are comprehending your teaching or not.
