THE ESSENCE OF WORSHIP

To escape from pressures or boredoms, some people spend every leisure moment
watching television or video or listening to stereo music etc. But God offer us as a
vastly superior solution to our emptiness and problems. Anywhere, anytime we can
tune in to His presence, feast our eyes on His beauty, or rest our hearts in His
sufficiency. Without expensive equipment or even earphones we can experience
relaxation and renewal through praise and worship.
I.

Praise and Worship bring peace and joy to our heart

Psalms 23:1-4 New International Versions (NIV)

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.2 He makes me lie down in
green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,3 he refreshes my soul. He guides
me along the right paths for his names sake.4 Even though I
walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

II.

Praise and Worship brings Miracle and deliverance

Acts 16:25-26New International Version (NIV)
about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God,
and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such
a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At
once all the prison doors flew open, and everyones chains came loose.

Praise and Worship made us become God-centered and

not self-Centered

At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to

Naked I came from my mothers womb and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and
the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.

REMEMBER:
Its very important that in praising God and worshiping Him we
always go back to what He has done for us.. What He did on the cross.. He
died, for us to have eternal life. Because He love us so much.. Because of
His grace that we dont deserve. He is worthy in our praise and worship..
