Essential Question: How can hospitals bring more innovative advanced technology to patients
availability?
Working Thesis: Hospitals can modernize patients records to establish a better basis on how safe
medical records are.
Refined Thesis: Hospitals can modernize patients records to create a private system instead of an
open paper system.

As stated in the article, EMRs (electronic medical records) should be the final step in
modernizing hospitals. To have electronic medical records would eliminate the need for paper
and create a reinforced system to limit disclosures. If this was established, the patient would have
full access to his or her records, not the general public or even the doctors that recorded the data.
Like with many new ideas it cant just be implemented and expected to work, things take time to
become adjusted with how things are going to work. This article is relevant to the research
because establishing a better and more private way of retaining medical records will help patients
feel at ease and further increase the demand for health care.

Medical technology requires implementation and regulation in order for it to be effective.
In hospitals today, doctors and other health official are having trouble to establish an operative
way of enforcing technology. It is either use this or use that, this is not the proper way of treating
said patient. Regulation of certain technologies can help by bringing about a system to pick out
exactly what instrument or machine to use in order for the patient to recover. Like with all health
care options, Medicare has a huge role in paying for things normal patients cannot afford.
Controversial topics have been brought to mind by Medicare overpaying on some situations.
This article is relevant to the research because establishing a better regulated health service
technology foundation, medical costs will decrease along with the overspending by health care
companies.

Human life plays the most important role in health care. All technology and health care
services revolve around human expectations. The Consumer Product Safety Commision has
valued a human life at around 5 million dollars. This may seem like a well rounded amount of
money, but it is not. Human life should be priceless to people, but with companies today, money
is everything. Valuing a human life should not be the thing to do when it is a life or death

situation. The natural instinct should be to save that persons life. Health care companies should
bring about a universal coverage policy to enforce options to patients. This will create an
excellent foundation on future innovations and inventions to help the healthcare system. This
article is relevant to the research because enforcing a policy that will bring better options to
patients will increase demand for that healthcare service.
