I am writing to express my interest in applying for the elementary school teaching position
that has been posted. I recently graduated from North Carolina Central University, with a
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education (K-6), and a concentration in Literacy. I completed my
student teaching in a third grade classroom at Stovall-Shaw Elementary School in Stovall, NC.
I have a lot of experience working with elementary age students. Over the course of my
education at NCCU, I have completed numerous observation and volunteer hours in a variety of
school settings and elementary grade levels, as well as a student teaching internship in a third
grade classroom. Through these experiences, along with my education, I am confident that I am
well prepared to be an extremely successful educator.
I know that I will bring energy, passion, and creativity to school as well as a team player
attitude. Thank you for your consideration for this position. I hope that you will allow me the
opportunity to interview so that we can further discuss my qualifications.
I am excited to begin my journey as a new teacher, and I hope that I will be able to do so at
