1 Definition of managers and their classification

Managerial cadres represent the totality of workers occupied with managerial work.
The role of managerial cadres always increases because they have to learn new scientific
style of solving problems, to improve constantly their knowledge.
The effectiveness of any activity process from agriculture depends to a large extent on
manager, on his training, on his ability to work with people and to mobilize them to solve
practical problems.
According to some authors, managerial cadres are classified into three groups:
1. managers
2. specialists
3. technical personnel.
Managers are divided into two subgroups:
Linear managers- are managers of production, auxiliary and social-cultural divisions and
their deputies.
Functional managers are those managers of functional services (service of accounting,
planning, veterinary etc.) and their deputies.
The group of managers includes:
1. managers of agricultural enterprises and their deputies
2. managers of functional services
3. managers of production divisions (sector, brigade, team, firm)
4. managers of auxiliary departments and insurance of production (the machine and tractor
park, repair workshop) and their deputies.
In other opinions, managerial cadres are as follows:
1. lower-level cadres - team leaders.
2. medium-level cadres - managers of departments, specialists of the department.
3. higher-level cadres - manager of the enterprise, main specialists of the enterprise.
Specialists represent the managerial workers who are dealing with solving technical,
economic and technological problems (agronomist, economist, accountant, engineer,
veterinarian).
The technical personnel includes managerial workers who are dealing with preparation
and drafting of documents, control and evidence, household insurance (cashier, couriers,
secretarial workers, etc.).
All these three categories constitute the managerial staff.
