W.B. Hinson was a preacher in the
Northwest in the late 1800s. One
day he received bad news from his
doctor. Reflecting on his life and
the things he had done, Hinson
spoke about his life experiences
just before his death, "I remember
a year ago when a doctor told me,
'You have an illness from which
you won't recover.' I walked out to
where I live five miles from
Portland, Oregon, and I looked
across at that mountain that I love.
I looked at the river in which I
rejoice, and I looked at the stately
trees that are always God's own
poetry to my soul. Then in the
evening I looked up into the great
sky where God was lighting His
lamps, and I said, 'I may not see
you many more times, but
Mountain, I shall be alive when
you are gone; and River, I shall
be alive when you cease running
toward the sea; and Stars, I shall
be alive when you have fallen
from your sockets in the great
down pulling of the material
universe!"
Hinson's view of his illness wasn't
that God was cruel for taking him
from his family and the place he
loved, but that he was headed for
an everlasting life, one that
would endure long after the place
he loved would pass away. For
the rest of his life, Dr. Hinson
spent much time telling others of
God's goodness in his life, despite
the illness that was taking his
life.

Where Will I Spend Eternity?

Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer of that question.
Our Dilemma:
We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our
thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23).
Our Inability:
We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned.
We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Our Saviour:
Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the
human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour
(Romans 5:8; John 3:16).
Our Response:
Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be
saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as Gods children
(Romans 10:9, 13).

another building project in an thru August
effort to improve our facilities.
We need to install additional
6th grade 2-6
lighting to the platform area in
the Main Auditorium. Use the
Building Fund box on the
offering envelope.
Free Nursery & Childcare
Out of respect for your loved ones and those in attendance,
we ask parents to use our clean & well-equipped nursery.

This Free Service is available for newborns and infants

(birth through 24 months).
All of our volunteers have passed a background check with
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
