I will focus on observing the managing of the classroom because if the teacher organized the class,
she would be able to give the lesson in a good way.
- Also, managing the time because if the teacher wasnt managing the time in a good way, she will not
cover all the things that should be covered from the lesson and for each stage from the 5es.

How did you feel about conducting a formal observation?
From my point of view, conducting a formal observation is something needed effort and need a responsible
person that can focus while observing the lesson. If I wasnt responsible and didnt observe in a good way, I
will not be able to give a fair feedback that analyzes Safeyyas work and attitude while explaining the
lesson. Besides, being in a formal observation is something gave me an experience on how I should deal
with formal observations from now. Because, maybe, as a future teacher, I will be responsible for student
teachers and should learn how to deal with their lessons and how to prepare myself for the future career.
How did your colleague feel about being observed?
In fact, my colleague said that she didnt feel that anything changes for her because she is a good lesson
planner. And she is always prepared her lessons in a good way, so, even that any visitor will come suddenly
to her class, she will not be afraid, and she will give her lesson in a confident way.
How did you feel about discussing your observations with your colleague after the lesson?
I felt that Im responsible for something critical because if I didn't be fair and honest, while giving her the
feedback, I can frustrate her and destroy her feeling and make her feel sad about the lesson. So, I was
careful while Im giving the feedback by using the suitable words while taking.

How did your colleague react to your assessment?


Honestly, I didnt notice any clear area of developments in her lesson that deserve to be written down as a
serious note. So, all my written feedback was positive, which make her happy. Besides, she reacts in a good
way, and she was proud of herself. And she thanked me because of my positive feedback that gives her
passion for completion in this major and being a successful teacher.
Did she agree with your evaluation?
Yes Aamna, thank you for your great feedback, you gave me an incorporeal support that will help me in
achieving my goal in being a successful teacher in the future, Safeyya said. So, this provides an evidence
and idea that Safeyya agrees with my evaluation and my feedback.
Which of the suggestions you made will your colleague apply in her next lesson?
I didnt select any are in development as I mentioned before, but I suggest for her to give them more
reading, even that she would offer them a paragraph that includes three sentences about the topic. Reading
is a skill that Can develop the students level and language, even that they will not understand all the
vocabularies. But, this will help them in being accustomed to reading and gain knowledge from a small age.
Do you and your colleague feel that this was a valuable experience? Why/Why not?
Yes, I think that this experience was valuable and important because I got the benefit of the idea's that
Safeyya applied in her lesson. And she also got the benefit from my feedback that gives her an idea about
her attitude in the classroom and her strategies in teaching Science.
