school level.
Summarize the plans major curricular and professional development
outcomes that are supported by research.
In this century, we are all surrounded by technological tools such as phones,
computers, smart phones, tablets, google chrome books, androids, mimeos,
smart boards, and etc. We all are able to search through internet everywhere has
the access. With this easy network, we can bring all the resources together and
at minimum cost and maximum speed.
Describe and cite the relevant research that supports the plans outcomes.
De Silva, C. C., Chigona, A. C., & Adendorff, S. A. (2016). Technology
Integration: Exploring Interactive Whiteboards as Dialogic Spaces in the
Foundation Phase Classroom. Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology,
15(3), 141-150.
The study shows that teachers can make their lesson planning stronger by
utilizing technology in their classrooms. This would extend the learning of
students in different areas. The vision and mission of schools can be completed
by making teachers more effective in the classrooms. So that students cannot
only learn the content, but they can also earn multi-skills that prepare them better
in this competitive world. They become more qualified and competent individuals
in their best interest in order to pursue their goals.
Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.

De Silva, Chigona, & Adendorff (2016) mentions that even they get encouraged
teaching technology integrated stuff their students when they use technology in
the classrooms such as computer and smartboard. This technology plan makes
all students learn and experience different technology skills in all the subject
classes. Therefore, as they learn core skills in the classrooms, they will also
make real life connection and they will be prepared to careers and colleges
better. Technology can play an essential role in promoting an effective teaching
environment in the classroom. (De Silva, Chigona, & Adendorff , 2016)
Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.
Students learn better and make their learning long term as they get more
opportunities to make things hands-on. They should be able make the
connections between the objectives they are given and the tools they utilize
along the curriculum.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

What technology is currently available to all teachers?

All teachers has a desktop in their classroom, a smart board installed on their
white board, there are projectors mounted in each classroom, tables in English
classes, calculators in math classes, computers, in two computer labs, computer
in the library, computers in the teachers lounge, a huge printer in the teachers
lounge.
How is technology currently being used by teachers and administrators to
promote effective classroom instruction and school management?
Currently, since they are all well trained at the beginning of each school year and
they are provided ongoing support by their mentor teacher and administrators
they are able to use them very effectively and very often in the classrooms as if
they are all their daily routines.
Is technology currently available to all students?
Not really due to scheduling, and budget problems in the school not everyone has equal
opportunity to use all technology equipment.
What replacement cycle has been built into the plan; and what funding is needed
to support the replacement policy?
Yearly updates of the programs installed on the teachers and students desktops,

maintaining on the smart board applications, upgrades on the tables and IPad. State
funding is running all these needs. Since state is having budget problem schools are not
well funded. School is in need of some grants to have more technology in the classroom
and school.
What are the LEAs curriculum goals and plans for assisting students to meet
content standards and demonstrate college and career readiness?
Curriculum goals and plans support all teachers to let all students learn 21st century skills
needed and applied in all different careers and subjects. It is aimed to grow all students
to be college and career ready. As all students earn hard skills they also improve their
soft skills as well such as presentation, communication, etc.
How will technology be used to create more powerful learning experiences to
improve student academic achievement?
Teacher will get the students involved into technology based projects that enable them to
improve their skills in different areas at the same time. This authentic environment of
engaged learning will keep all students motivated and active to learn.
What LEA board policies will be or have been developed to implement Internet
safety instruction?
The developed policies will make sure that students are being kept away from harmful
stuff by filtering programs and procedures. School employees will be trained and asked
to be on the top of implementing strict rules and procedures. So that welfare of students,
parents, and all employees will be guaranteed in the school.
What materials will be used to instruct students about Internet safety, including
how to use technologies to protect themselves and their privacy online?
Students will be provided handbooks that will be required to be signed by both parents
and students at the beginning of the school year. The book will guide them and give
them clear instruction about the usage of variety of tools and programs during the
instructions at school and at home. It is going to be aligned and supported with the
student/parent hand book that has all consequences. Teachers, students, parents will be
trained to be on the same page of school rules and regulations that enforce everyone for
safety first.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT

The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
How does your LEA regularly assess teachers and administrators personal
technology proficiency skills?
Teacher and administrators will be given individual assessments to be tested prior to
implementation of each tool and program used. They will be certified before they start
using those expected meet objectives and use tools.
What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for professional
development?
They all will be given surveys time to time in order to determine their needs on the
professional development. Then, professional development days will be designed
accordingly.
What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators can
make informed decisions using data to meet individual student academic needs?
Students will be assessed through regular computer times to see whether they mastered
the expected objectives or not twice in each semester that meaning one in each quarter.
What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators can
effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?
There is going to be ongoing support and mentoring program available to pretty much
everyone in the program. Since everyones attention will be drawn in this sense, so that
everyone will be teacher of each other, and learn from each other. It going to be a sort of
school culture where learning is priority.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

What technology access do parents have at home? What technologies do

parents prefer for home/school communication?
Pretty much every one has either laptop or desktop with computer at home. But,
very low percentage of parents and students neither check their emails nor read
their email via computer or laptop. They all prefer to communicate thru
smartphones and prefer to use texting since they have those phones with them
at all times.
What hardware/infrastructure currently exists at each school site?
There is a lot of different hardware available to both students and parents
including google applications, study island, USA Test Prep, Khan Academy, all

office programs.
What technologies will teachers and administrators need to successfully
implement the plans goals and benchmarks?

progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.
Who will oversee the data collection, analysis, and program modification
process?
The technology department can definitely lead and collaborate with the school leaders to
make sure tech plan is in place and effectively being implemented with all staff
members. They should be able to step in and help skeptical and reluctant staff members
to be helped and corrected.
Who will participate in the monitoring and evaluation process?
School and district level administrators, technology department representatives, district
and school board members, some representative parents, representative students, and
teacher representatives.
How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is responsible?
Schools data manager/specialist/analysist could be the best fit for this coordination. And
that person can gather all the data quarter based and present to tech team once in each
semester to the school board where school administration is present.
How often will the status of plan implementation be reported to the LEA
superintendent and the stakeholders?
Yearly basis could be great to have them see and get their feedback that would turn into
action plan. So that the implantation team could revise things and make necessary
changes accordingly.
