students and
conducting
conferences with
them about their
reading.
Teacher will
introduce how to
write personal
narratives and
provide her own
example.
Teacher will
circulate the
room and meet
with students to
understand their
ideas for their
personal
narratives.

Student
Students will be
participating in
the class
discussion by
making
connections and
asking questions.

Students will
listen as the
teacher shows
them how to find
one of the main
ideas. The class
will then work as
a group to find
another main
idea found in the
book.

reading a book on
their reading
level quietly to
