FOR E W 0 R D

In order to exercise proper quality control during

0.3 This standard was first published in 1969. In this revision moisture
content has been reduced.
Fur t her, reference has been given to
IS : 7874 (Part I ).1975'" and IS: 7874 (Part 2 )-197:'t for adopting
uniform test methods. Title of t his standard has also been revised.
0.4 In the pi epar ation
meat meal the carcasses of dead animals, which
mayor may not have been debonetl, are first boiled in opf'n cauldrons
or in closed vessels, and rheu dried in steam jacketed vessels. The dried
material is then pulverized.
